With a help from a friendly orchid blogger, En Imran (Alang Bidara Orchids), I bought my first orchids yesterday at an orchid nursery here in Melaka. The nursery owner is very friendly and helpful even. And she suggested me to have 2 orchids for a start. She also had given me many tips on how to care of an orchid plant.
I bought an orchid from the Phalaenopsis and Oncidium species. One is blooming while the other already shows a few flower buds that I guess will bloom in 3 to 4 weeks time.
So, here are my 2 orchids :-

I hope that my interest on orchid will grow from time to time and I am dreaming now to have an orchid garden with varieties of orchid species which I will buy staggeringly in future.

Hi, may i know which melake orchid nursery you go? Do you mind to provide location detail?
By the way, your phalaenopsis look like hybrid, not species...

Hi Faiz, thank you for the hybrid mentioned by you. Yes, it is a Hybrid as told by the nursery owner. I guess that you should go and have a visit to the orchid nursery which is Khazanah Rimba Jaya, No 1570 2/4A, Taman Tanjung Minyak Jaya, 75250 Melaka or you can call the owner at 019-6664183 by the name of Kak Nur. She's very friendly and helpful plus she got lots of wild orchid species in her nursery !
